About the role

This is a casual position as an HC Driver - Sideloader Operator for PITKIN TRANSPORT SERVICE PTY LTD in Camellia, NSW. After the probational period, there is scope to transition into a full-time role. Alternatively, we will entertain ABN drivers if preferred.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a heavy commercial vehicle equipped with a sideloader to transport goods within and around Sydney Metropolitan.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate a heavy commercial vehicle to transport goods using a sideloader

Conduct pre-start checks and maintain the vehicle in a safe and roadworthy condition

Follow all relevant road rules and regulations, and adhere to company policies and procedures

Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and the transport allocator

Use Freight Tracker on your smart phone to receive jobs and obtain proof of delivery [POD]

What we're looking for

Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

Valid MSIC required, to gain access to DP World, Patricks and Hutchsion Ports

Demonstrated experience operating a HAMMAR sideloader

Knowledge and experience navigating your way around the Sydney empty container depots

Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety practices

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Good communication and customer service skills
