- Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
- Office location Parramatta/Wollongong/Queanbeyan/Newcastle – Other Regional location or Hybrid working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $152,677 to $167,562 + super
Our team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Team Leader, Stewardship Support Program to lead a team responsible for conducting biodiversity stewardship assessments to support the Biodiversity Offset Scheme.
The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team of ecologists, GIS analysts and program staff to deliver timely and high-quality biodiversity assessments. The role monitors budget and manages priorities to ensure the program remains on-track and works closely with the program manager to resolve challenging issues and improve processes.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced accredited assessor with extensive experience in biodiversity assessments and restoration management. You have excellent project management skills and enjoy developing and supporting a collaborative, capable and efficient multi-disciplinary team. You will love the opportunity to put your BAM experience to work to deliver practical and long-term private land conservation outcomes.
Essential requirements
- A tertiary qualification in environmental science or equivalent field
- A current Class C Driver’s License
- Willing and able to assist with ecological fieldwork which involves travel.
