Our established family day care service, situated in Fairfield, Sydney, is currently in search of an accomplished coordinator. With over 10 years of dedicated operation in the community, we are seeking an individual to join our team and contribute to the support of over 30 Educators delivering care to families throughout the Sydney region.

We are looking for a well-organised, positive, and energetically-driven individual to undertake the crucial role of mentoring and supporting a dedicated group of family daycare educators.
About the Role:
Start October 2025
Delivering professional support and training to educators.
Ensuring the provision of high-quality outcomes for children and families enrolled in the service.
Monitoring adherence to National Regulations and service policies.
Actively recruiting new educators and promoting growth within the service.
Supporting and engaging in the orientation process.
Inspiring and mentoring a group of educators to achieve their best.
Identifying and addressing areas where educator practices require improvement.
Facilitating activities to enhance children's experiences, including aiding the integration of new children into care, planning and participating in playgroups, and conducting evaluations.
Conducting regular (monthly) visits to family daycare educators to assess the quality of childcare, evaluate care practices, and offer constructive feedback.
Undertaking recruitment and assessment of potential family daycare educators, while providing parents and educators with essential support information, advocacy, and referral services.
Collaborating with the Sherif Family Day Care team to drive the achievement of our strategic goals and uphold our strong reputation.
Overseeing, maintaining, and updating educator files and qualifications where applicable.
Skills and Experience:
Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place Framework, and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF, PowerPoint, etc.
Proficiency and extended knowledge of the Education and Care National and Law and Regulations
In-depth understanding of the principles and practices of child development spanning the age range of 0-12 years.
Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards, Providing a Child Safe Environment
Sound Knowledge of providing an educational program, the planning cycle and providing training and assistance to educators within the service.
Comprehensive knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety practices, encompassing infection control and risk management.
Thorough comprehension of Family Daycare operations.
Exceptional communication skills at a high level.
Capability to collaborate effectively with families and family daycare educators, formulating strategies tailored to meet their needs and interests.
Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
Adept at implementing and adhering to policies and procedures aimed at promoting quality childcare.
Ability to work independently and complete corresponding forms and visits at a high-quality standard.
Working knowledge of Harmony Systems and ComplyCare
Mandatory requirements:
Approved Diploma level education and care qualification
Working With Children’s Clearance
National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
NSW Full Driver's licence
Reliable, roadworthy motor vehicle
First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
Further requirements:
Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel to conduct visits
Must be available Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm
