About the role

We're seeking a skilled Restaurant & Events Manager to join the team at Kondalilla Eco Resort. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant and event operations, ensuring an exceptional dining and event experience for our guests. Based in the picturesque Flaxton, Queensland, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of our award-winning eco resort.

What you'll be doing

Manage the daily operations of our on-site restaurant, including menu development, staff scheduling, inventory control, and financial management

Plan and coordinate all events, conferences, weddings, and private functions hosted at the resort, ensuring seamless execution and high customer satisfaction

Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive restaurant and event bookings

Provide leadership and mentorship to the restaurant and events teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement

Ensure the bar runs smoothly by supervising bar services, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsible for rostering staff, providing training and support, and leading the bar team to ensure excellent customer service.

Oversee compliance with liquor laws, health regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (3+ years) in a similar restaurant or events management role, ideally within the hospitality industry

Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve operational and financial targets

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively

Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with guests, staff, and management

Relevant tertiary qualifications in hospitality management or a related field are highly desirable
