Reports to: Senior Safety Advisor (Team of 20 in H&S)

Core responsibilities

• Health & Safety responsibilities at large mining operation
• Be a safety presence in the field - Hands on environment
• Site safety improvement plans
• Promote and lead a zero harm work culture
• Health & Safety training and assurance to site employees
• Incident investigation and corrective actions
• Health & hygiene investigations and reporting
• Facilitating site safety audits
• Compliance with federal and provincial regulations
• Maintenance of safety systems

Requirements:

• Health, Safety & Hygiene experience in an underground mining environment (Preferred)
• Experience operating in a heavy industrial setting
• Workplace investigations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Mining hazard identification
• Familiar with NSW regulations
