Legal Counsel – Family Investment Office (Melbourne)

This is your chance to join our client a Melbourne-based family investment office with a diverse portfolio spanning agriculture, property, private equity, venture capital, equities and joint ventures. What you’ll do

Your work will cover the full spectrum of commercial and corporate legal support, including:

Drafting and reviewing a wide range of agreements, including supply contracts, joint venture documents, loan agreements, general security agreements, and trust deeds.

Advising on commercial transactions, acquisitions and sales of businesses, including due diligence processes.

Preparing and negotiating documentation for property matters, including leases and associated contracts.

Providing intellectual property advice, including trademark searches and liaising with IP professionals.

Supporting estate planning, including wills, powers of attorney, and related documents.

Assisting with corporate governance and secretarial matters across a portfolio of companies.

Researching and advising on complex and novel legal issues across multiple industries.

What we’re looking for

2-5 years PQE in corporate/commercial law (law firm or in-house).

High-level drafting and document review skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial acumen and the ability to balance technical precision with practical business advice.

A collaborative, adaptable mindset suited to working across diverse industries and issues.

Exposure to tax law and/or financial concepts.
