About the role
The Workforce Planning Officer is responsible for coordinating and undertaking a range of workforce planning functions and services that align with the goals of the Student Experience directorate. The role is also responsible for managing and undertaking the recruitment and onboarding of casual and temporary labour hire. This dual role ensures a streamlined process for workforce forecasting and resourcing, focusing on optimising casual and labour hire efficiency, managing workforce gaps and providing flexible staffing solutions.

The role works collaboratively with Managers, Team Leaders and external labour hire agencies to forecast needs, source candidates and ensure seamless onboarding processes to meet fluctuating demand.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
