About the Role
We are seeking an Indigenous Engagement and Student Advisor (Freemantle / Lewis Fellow) to play a pivotal role in supporting the success and wellbeing of our students, with a particular focus on Indigenous, regional and remote students.
This role will:
• Provide tailored support and guidance to Indigenous students, strengthening their academic success, wellbeing, and cultural identity.
• Lead and support the Centre for Indigenous Leadership and Engagement, fostering Indigenous leadership, cultural engagement, and community connection.
• Contribute to Ormond’s Reconciliation Action Plan and Truth Telling Plan.
• Build strong recruitment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, regional and remote students.
• Promote Indigenous knowledge and culture within College life.

About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and communities.
• Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
• A commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
• Experience supporting students from regional and remote communities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Healthcare).
Previous experience in higher education or residential college settings will be highly regarded.
