About Gateways
At Gateways Support Services we support children, young people and adults with disability and their families to help build independence, confidence and connection. Our services span early childhood intervention, respite, independent living, specialist care, and more, always shaped around the needs of each individual.
We are a diverse team of mountain bike riders, comedians, skiers, surfers, gamers, movie buffs, musicians, cat people, dog people and more. What unites us is a shared passion for supporting people with disability and making every day a better day. Guided by our values of Commitment, Opportunity, Respect, Excellence and Empathy, everything we do is about creating safe, high-quality supports that help people thrive and enjoy a better quality of life.
About the role
We’ve created this new Quality & Compliance Officer role because we know strong quality systems are central to delivering safe, high-quality services and positive outcomes for participants and their families.
Rather than focusing only on compliance, this role helps turn standards into practice. By building a strong culture of quality, accountability and preparedness, you will enable teams across Gateways to deliver services with confidence, reduce risk, and continually improve the experience of the people we support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting internal audits and quality reviews across operational and administrative areas.
- Contributing to the design and ongoing improvement of Gateways’ audit and compliance framework.
- Ensure organisational readiness and active participation in external audits, accreditation and third-party verification.
- Identifying gaps, risks, and areas for improvement, and supporting teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Provide clear reporting and insights from audits, compliance checks and risk registers to inform leadership, track progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor participant Emergency Response Plans.
- Work with teams and leaders to embed a culture of quality, safety and accountability in everyday practice.
- Maintain accurate records, registers and tracking systems to support organisational accountability and audit readiness.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in conducting audits, ideally in disability, healthcare, aged care or community services, though strong audit skills from other sectors are welcomed.
- Experience leading or contributing to the development of audit frameworks, programs, or methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of compliance frameworks, quality systems and risk management.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage records, registers and multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage across all levels of the organisation
- Qualifications or significant experience in quality, compliance, legal, audit, or a related field.
Why work at Gateways?
At Gateways you will find more than a job - you will find purpose. Every role contributes to positive outcomes for people with disability and their families. You will be part of a team that celebrates individuality, fosters belonging and creates opportunities to learn and grow.

- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per year
- Convenient onsite parking
- Employee Assistance Program
- Free flu vaccinations
- Career development and progression opportunities in a growing organisation
