Destec is a leading mining contractor providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling services to major mining sites throughout Western Australia. We're looking for experienced Boilermakers / Welders to join our team in Perth. You'll be based primarily out of our workshop, with opportunities for occasional FIFO shutdown work and site coverage. This role offers the perfect blend of consistent, workshop-based hours with the chance to earn extra with short-term site visits.

Key Details

• Location: Canning Vale (moving to a new workshop in Bibra Lake in mid-September).
• Schedule: Full-time, 56 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 10-hour days; Saturday, 6-hour days).
• Remuneration:
  - Ordinary Time: $43.00/hour
  - Time & a Half: $64.50/hour
  - Double Time: $86.00/hour

About the Role

As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for interpreting drawings and instructions to fabricate and repair fixed plant components. You'll work on everything from crushers and screens to conveyors and chutes. We need a team player who is analytical, methodical, and committed to a clean, safe work environment.

To be considered, you must have:

• 2 FMMAW 6mm
• 3G MMAW 6mm
• 2F FCAW 8mm - 10mm
• 3G FCAW 8mm - 10mm (no weave)

• An Australian-recognised trade certificate.
• A valid WA Driver's Licence.
• The ability to interpret drawings and work well in a team.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and a National Police Clearance.
• The ability to pass a weld test in these positions without a grinder:
  
• Experience with fixed plant components (crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and chutes) is highly desirable.
