About us

We are a contemporary, design practice with experience in architecture, urban design, master planning, and interior architecture. The practice has established a state and national reputation for design excellence and our team enjoy working closely with our in-house graphic designers to reflect and promote our brand. Our medium-sized studio of 25 staff is located in Northbridge, and our team contribute to an active, friendly and socially engaged workplace.

Over our 40 years in practice, With Studio have demonstrated commitment to producing clear and visually appealing design outputs including drawings, posters, diagrams, photographs, reports, books and presentations. We were the first architectural practice in Perth to employ an in-house graphic designer and we have consistently led the way to advancing the way our industry communicates architectural ideas and designs.

In addition to graphic design associated with our architectural practice, our studio is also developing a client base for graphic design collateral and website design. Our in-house art gallery, Wallace, generates opportunities to explore creative graphic design associated with exhibition design and publication.

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and committed graphic designer who will complement, and bolster, our team and be a valued addition to our studio. We expect you to be proactive and attentive to detail.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and demonstrated experience:

The successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or similar, and at least 5 years’ experience in this industry

• High proficiency using the Adobe suite, particularly Indesign is a key requirement

• Strong knowledge of design fundamentals; typography, layout, preparing final artwork for print and digital platforms.

• Ability to understand and interpret briefs and think critically to execute independently in a creative and strategic manner.

• Confident in creating, from start to finish, large technical documents such as reports

• Excellent attention-to-detail is critical, including proof-reading, and managing time to meet deadlines

• Knowledge and experience with both WordPress and Mailchimp

• Good problem solving and analytical skills

• Experience in Social Media and EDM marketing

• Copywriting skills and an interest in photography are not essential, but are desirable

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Creative Lead (Graphics) to:

• Understand, promote, and evolve the With Studio brand

• Design and produce tender submissions, presentations, project reports and signage design to meet project timeframes

• Design and maintain print and digital branding collateral such as stationery, capability profile, project sheets and media kits

• Poster design and other graphic design collateral associated with Wallace Gallery

• Build our capacity and client base for graphic design commissions

• Assist with managing With Studio and Wallace website’s content, including providing recommendations to improve the UX

• Assist with the creation of EDMs and managing the analytics, tracking performance and customising the engagement.

• Assist with content for social media platforms reflecting Wallace Gallery and With Studio brand

• Manage the studio’s digital library of project marketing assets and tender/submission collateral to promote the easy location of data and efficient creation of content

• Briefing and facilitating for professional photography for architectural projects

• Compiling and submitting awards submissions
