About the Role
Marist Sion College has a friendly, professional team of staff who provide a supportive work culture and a positive and inspiring work environment. We are an inclusive, inviting and team orientated workplace, with modern teaching facilities and up-to-date technology. We are currently seeking teachers for the following subjects in 2026:
- VCE English and English Language
- VCE Business Management and Legal Studies
- Religious Education
- Food Studies
- Mathematics
- Science
The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Teaching an area of the curriculum to a specific year level.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Implementing effective student management consistent with the College strategic plan.
- Supervising a range of activities, including support and welfare programs.
- Modeling exemplary classroom practice and mentoring or coaching other teachers in the College to engage in critical reflection on their practice and to support staff in expanding their capacity.
- Assisting staff in using student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
