The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for reliable and self-motivated cleaners to join our Sanitation team. The position is based across all City of Karratha facilities.

You will play a vital part in upholding the cleanliness and professional image of the City of Karratha’s buildings and public facilities. You'll work independently and as part of a supportive team to ensure our community spaces are safe, hygienic, and welcoming for all.

What you will be doing

• Cleaning of Council facilities – from community halls to office spaces
• Operating commercial cleaning equipment like vacuums, scrubbers, and pressure washers
• Reporting any maintenance issues or vandalism
• Ensuring all health & safety protocols are followed
• Keeping your cleaning areas well-stocked and ready for action

What you will need:

• Relevant experience in a similar position
• Experience as a commercial cleaner is desirable
• Physical capability to operate cleaning machinery and perform cleaning duties
• Ability to work morning, evening and weekend rosters as required
• A current C class driver’s licence
• A National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
