The Role
As the Assistant Project Officer, you will:
- Provide strategic insights and analysis to help the Leadership Team shape planning and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance service delivery through better tools, systems, and methodologies.
- Support MERI processes to ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and improvement.
- Compile reports and analyse data to inform recommendations that optimise business performance.
- Provide support with systems usage including financial management and reporting needs to support delivery managers.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in business improvement – Proven experience in initiatives that enhance systems, processes, or outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Advanced Excel skills – Proficient in business planning, data analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Clear and effective writing skills – Confident in preparing reports, project scopes, and communications that use plain language, are well-structured, and tailored to the audience.
- Project management mindset – Proactive, organised, and confident in contributing to impactful projects.
- Strong systems capability – Skilled in navigating and supporting multiple systems across teams and projects.
- Understanding of MERI – Able to apply MERI principles to track progress and drive better results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills – Able to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal teams, landholders, funding bodies, and community groups.
- Flexibility to travel – Holds a valid NSW Driver’s Licence and is willing to travel as required.
