TDN is a not-for-profit organisation with a long proud history, dedicated to helping Tasmanians age and live well in their own homes for as long as possible.
TDN is seeking Part Time Community Support Workers (CSW) to cover the suburbs of Moonah and surrounds, Sorell through to Orford, Opossum Bay through to Cambridge and the Southern Breaches regions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our clients by
· Supporting clients with light household cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
· Assisting with meal and snack preparation, ensuring hydration and nutrition needs are met.
· Providing respectful and compassionate support with personal care tasks, such as bathing, showering and washing.
· Helping clients with dressing and grooming to promote dignity and self-confidence.
· Offering companionship and social engagement to reduce isolation and build positive connections.
· Encouraging independence by supporting clients to actively participate in their daily routines wherever possible.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate, motivated individual with:
· A passion for client service and advocacy.
· A commitment to empower client’s choice, dignity and independence.
· Ability to work autonomously and responsibly.
· A client centered approach to care
· Basic tech skills
· An ability to perform in a physically demanding role
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
· Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
You will need
Essential Requirements:
· Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing or Home & Community)
· A valid unrestricted driver licence as well as a registered and insured road worthy vehicle
· National Police Check and Working with vulnerable people check
· Current first aid certificate
o Medication endorsement is desirable
