About the role
Join SA Pathology’s Regional Services team as an Operational Services Officer and contribute to the smooth delivery of vital pathology services in your community. This dynamic and essential role involves specimen collection, courier runs, and supporting laboratory operations. Your responsibilities will include venepuncture (including paediatric collections), domiciliary visits, and the preparation and transport of biological specimens—all crucial to ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic testing.
Working under general direction and alongside laboratory, clinical, and administrative colleagues, you will also assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, managing data entry, and providing a courteous reception and enquiry service to internal and external stakeholders. About You
You are a reliable and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a healthcare support role and values teamwork, accuracy, and community service.
Experience in pathology, specimen collection, or laboratory support
Ability to perform venepuncture and safely handle biological samples
Strong communication and computer skills with a commitment to service excellence
Mandatory requirements: Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), Class C Driver’s Licence, and subject to immunisation requirements
