The Role
SEA5000 Hunter Class Frigate Branch is seeking a committed and confident leader to undertake the EL 1 Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager position, who will be responsible for leading the HCF Integrated Logistic Team in activities such as:
- The management and integration of contract deliverables that support project outcomes and determine programme maturity;
- Reporting of progress against the Project Integrated Master Schedule and the resources and deliverables required to deliver project outcomes;
- Provide personnel management of the Logistics team and mentor/develop junior team members.
About our Team
The Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) will be one of the most advanced warships in the world with cutting edge technology and capabilities. As Australia’s largest shipbuilding project, HCF provides the foundation for Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in Australia. We are working with experts from the UK, USA, Canada and Europe to provide six frigates optimised for anti-submarine warfare to the Royal Australian Navy. The frigates are being constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia utilising the latest production technologies.

Our Ideal Candidate
You will have knowledge and experience in the delivery and assurance of ILS or Materiel Logistics in the Acquisition phase.
Key attributes and experience we are looking for:
- Experience in personnel management, stakeholder management, planning of work packages, progress metrics and providing assurance of outcomes for ILS or Materiel Logistics;
- Have a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements applicable to surface ship acquisition, upkeep, update and upgrades;
- May be tertiary qualified through recognised degree qualifications or relevant vocational training;
- Must be capable of reviewing, assuring and developing the quality of work undertaken by others;
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound technical verbal and written communication abilities;
- An innovative and adaptive thinker, who will take accountability while applying a risk based and flexible approach to delivering outcomes; and
- Be able to exercise knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks.
