About the Position
We’re offeringagreat opportunityfor a motivatedandprocess driven individualto join our team as Statutory Planning Officer.Youwillundertakeplanningdevelopmentassessmentsto ensure alignmentwiththe TownPlanning Scheme,City’splanningframeworkand community expectations.OurStatutory Planning Officer willbalance complianceandcommunityneedsandprovideprofessional planning advice to our community.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need comprehensive knowledge and experience in town planning, legislation, principles and practice. You will ideally have experience in a similar role, with strong skills in research, report writing, presentation, analysis and decision making.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a positive team player and a confident communicator
- Can manage their time effectively and work independently
- Builds strong relationships with stakeholders
- Understands the importance of delivering outstanding customer service in line with our Customer Service Charter
A Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or a relevant field) is required. However, we may consider applicants who are less experienced or currently working towards a relevant qualification, with salary negotiated accordingly.
