About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated IT Support Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, high attention to detail and experience with customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our users, maintaining our computer systems, write documentation and ensure that solutions provided meet both the needs of the user as well as the business.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to users
Troubleshooting problems, installing software, and configuring hardware
Log support tickets and follow up with users to maximise positive outcomes
Maintain and update computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware
Administer the network, including managing user accounts, permissions, and security
Onboarding of new users
Troubleshoot network problems and resolve outages
Work with other IT staff to design and implement new IT solutions
Work with support vendors to achieve a satisfactory resolution to a problem
Develop, maintain and document software deployment and compliance policies
Develop and maintain documentation including such as as-built documentation, procedure documentation or knowledgebase articles.
Routine Monitoring and reporting
Expected to maintain regular office hours on site (8 hours, M-F) with some flexibility to provide occasional after hours support or assistance with scheduled maintenance tasks to be arranged as required.
Ideal Qualifications or prior experience:
Experience with customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Diploma in IT or a related field (and or)
0-3 years Prior experience in IT support or related role
Strong understanding of computer hardware and software
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Able to demonstrate a high level of organisation and attention to detail
Ability to teach basic IT Skills to a broad range of Users with varying IT experience with demonstrating patience and compassion.
Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Teams, SharePoint, Power automate (preferred)
Experience with Virtualisation and cloud technologies (preferred)
Benefits:
Competitive Salary offer $50,000 - $70,000 per year plus superannuation approx. $25-36/hr. (based on the experience the applicant is bringing to the role).
