About the Role

Mother Kate’s Early Learning Centre (63-place, purpose-built) in Wondai is seeking a permanent part-time Assistant Director. Reporting to the Centre Director, you’ll mentor staff, support daily operations, and help deliver a high-quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Director with daily operations and compliance

Mentoring educators and enhancing curriculum delivery

Building strong relationships with families and the local community

Providing hands-on support across the service

About You

You’ll bring:

A Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education

Valid Blue Card / Working with Children Check

Experience as a Senior Educator, Educational Leader, or Assistant Director

Extra skills we value (but will support you in):

First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training

Understanding of the National Quality Framework

Confidence with rostering or admin tasks

Most importantly, you’re calm under pressure, supportive of others, and passionate about creating a nurturing, inclusive environment.
