The Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Sydney team. This role is ideal for a motivated, experienced Accountant who enjoys managing and being responsible for their own portfolio of clients while delivering high-quality communication, accounting, tax, and advisory services.

You will be responsible for:

· Managing a book of business clients across a range of industries

· Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and compliance obligations

· Ensuring tax and compliance obligations are on time

· Providing regular communication to your clients

· Providing strategic tax and business advice to help clients grow

· Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and trust

· Onboarding new clients referred through the Maclean Group’s commercial finance and insurance division

About You

You’ll be a proactive and client-focused professional who excels at problem-solving and effective communication. We are looking for someone who is:

· CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)

· Experienced in public practice accounting (5+ years preferred)

· Confident and experienced in tax compliance, business advisory, and client management

· High level of communication skills

· Skilled in building relationships and explaining complex Accounting concepts clearly

· Tech-savvy with experience using cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero, MYOB)

· Experience in working with small to medium businesses across transport, construction, and earth moving (preferred but not essential)
