About the role
Are you a passionate horticulturist or experienced gardener interested in leading a small team? As a Lead Gardener with Garden Crew, you'll be responsible for overseeing a broad range of garden maintenance and garden install tasks, predominantly working in Perth's Western suburbs.

This is a casual role with approximately 7 hrs per day (Monday - Friday) available. As our business expands, there will be opportunities for permanent salaried positions.

What you'll be doing

Manage and direct a team of up to 2 gardeners to ensure the timely and efficient completion of gardening tasks

Start each day at HQ in Cottesloe WA 6011 (15 mins from the city)

Conduct site inspections and create maintenance plans to keep gardens looking their best

Oversee the planting, pruning, hedging, mowing, and general upkeep of gardens and outdoor spaces

Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard, in compliance with safety regulations

Provide guidance and training to junior gardeners to develop their skills

Be customer facing and liaise with clients to understand their requirements and make plans accordingly

What we're looking for

Experience (1+ years) in gardening, landscaping, or a related field

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Sound knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, and gardening techniques

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces

A current Australian driver's licence
