THE ROLE
The Manager, Portfolio Planning leads the portfolio planning of the Victorian Government's Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) portfolio, the largest in Australia. The role is responsible for providing data driven portfolio analysis and advice as part of portfolio strategy development, asset management planning, identifying development and uplift opportunities, budget bids and other transactions. The team is also responsible for delivering design guidance for new SDA homes, consistent with best practice and portfolio strategy objectives. Together with the broader Disability Homes Victoria (DHV) team, this position will work to ensure the department's SDA offering best meets the needs and preferences of eligible NDIS participants and is in step with demand and contemporary SDA development across Australia.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Oversee the development and implementation of a portfolio strategy and asset management plan for SDA assets, ensuring the voice of lived experience is reflected and working in close collaboration with other teams in Disability Homes Victoria branch and the department
- Lead the development of design development and construction design to support future SDA developments, including alignment with portfolio strategy objectives and testing and piloting of new and emerging design and delivery concepts.
- Apply innovative thinking to propose solutions and recommendations to senior management to address SDA portfolio challenges and develop strategies and plans to manage the department's SDA portfolio and other disability assets.
