Job Overview
The Shift Electrician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment across plant operations. The role requires flexibility to assist with mechanical tasks during breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime. This is a shift-based position in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
- Perform minor resets, adjustments, calibrations, and repairs on AGVs
- Assist Furnace Operator with electrical breakdowns on furnace equipment
- Routine inspections of:
- Cooling and process water systems
- Compressors and driers
- RO water operations
- Vacuum pumps
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance of utilities plant
- Assist Fitters with mechanical tasks during breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Perform all work in compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensure statutory compliance on all electrical issues
- Other duties as directed by the Shift Manager or Electrical & Process Control Supervisor
Qualifications / Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- A-Class Electrical Licence
- Significant experience as an electrician in industrial maintenance
- Automation and PLC experience
- Ability to understand machine functionality and electrical schematics
- Boom Lift (Working at Heights) licence
- Gas Licence
- Confined Space licence
- Forklift licence
