Responsibilities

• Safely operate and manage a heavy vehicle to transport goods and materials to various locations as directed.
• Load and unload scrap bins and tipping materials, ensuring the correct handling and placement of loads.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform light maintenance to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any incidents, following company protocols.
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to plan and optimize delivery routes.
• Adhere strictly to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service when interacting with clients and partners on delivery sites.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve driving skills and expand knowledge of industry best practices.
  
  Qualifications
• Valid and current HR (Heavy Rigid) and Road Ranger licenses.
• Proven experience in operating tipping and scrap bin vehicles.
• Strong commitment to safety and understanding of safe driving practices and regulations.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.

  Day-to-Day
  
  Your day-to-day duties as a Truck Driver will revolve around ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to safety standards. You will start your day with a vehicle check. Throughout your day, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering goods, complying with traffic laws, and maintaining contact with team members. In addition to vehicle operation, you will assist with loading and unloading materials, offering assistance where needed. As a representative of our company, you will provide exceptional service at each drop-off point, fostering positive relationships with customers and partners.
