Are you a compassionate and experienced leader in early childhood education, ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, familes and your team? Our small and intimate, boutique-style small centre in Alford's Point is looking for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Centre Director/Centre manager who will become the heart of a boutique family-owned centre in Alfords Point NSW.
The successful candidate will be able to improve the centre, increase its occupancy, and will have a strong focus on quality customer service delivery. They will drive to develop strong relationships with families, have strong leadership skills, and be passionate about developing a creative learning environment for our children.
As the successful candidate you will work closely with the Approved Provider to provide support to the educators, and engagement with the families. About Us
Our early learning centre is a family owned and operated child care centre in Alfords point, with a sister centre in Belmore NSW. The owner comes from a background of public service, and invests heavily in her staff and their wellbeing, as well as having a passion for quality childcare and early education. As the Centre Director, you will guide the daily operations of the centre while creating a culture of care, collaboration and excellence. Your leadership will set the tone for educators, families, and children, ensuring every interaction reflects kindness first, closely followed by a commitment to quality and heart-driven early learning.
Key responsibilities include:
Leaderhip and Team Development: Be the heart of the team-- lead, mentor, and inspire educators to deliver exceptional care and education. Creat a culrture of belonging and collaboration that encourages professional growth.
Operational Management: oversee the day to day operations, ensuring the centre runs smoothly and remains compliant with the National Quality framework (NQF), National Regulations, and National Quality Standards (NQS)
Family and Community Engagement: Be a trusted connection for families-- communicate openly and warmly,. Conduct centre tours for prospective families, showcasing the vibrant learning environment and unique strengths of the Centre.
Lead Continuous Quality Improvement: Discuss routines and how to make them more effective learning experiences. Maintain the centre's self-assessment in a real and meaningful way, in order to constantly review the way we do things, and improve on any gaps in practice.
Occupancy Growth and Reputation Management: Build and maintain the centre's strong reputation within the community. Drive enrolwments through meaningful family engaenet and showcasing the centre's unique offerings.
Adminstration and Reporting: Manage administrative tasks such as enrolments, staff rosters, and OWNA software systems with efficiency and precision.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Centre Director or Operational Manager in early childhood education
Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR Diploma in Early Childhood Eduation with a willingness to pursue an ECT Qualification
Knowlege: Deep understanding of the NQF, National Regulation and NQS.
Leadership: Proved ability to lead and inspire teams, conduct performace reviews, and manage conflicts with care and professionalism
Communication: Skilled in engaging with families, leading tours for new enrolements, and building trust and rapport with the community. You will need to possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Compliance: Demonstrated expertise in mainting compliance and implementing quality improvement plans.
Certifications: First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificate, a valid working with Children's Check, and a national police clearance.
Skills and Attributes:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with children, families and educators.
