About the Role
As our Assistant Centre Manager and Educational Leader, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the centre while ensuring ongoing compliance with regulations. This non-teaching leadership position focuses on mentoring Educators, driving the implementation of high-quality educational programs, and fostering supportive, collaborative relationships with staff, families, and the wider community. You will also lead professional conversations, guide curriculum development, and oversee behaviour guidance practices to ensure consistency and quality across the service.

- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Willingness to step onto the floor as needed to support operational demands or excursions
- Interest in, passion for, or experience with the RIE approach; committed to role modelling and embedding it in daily practice
- Confidence to lead and facilitate the implementation of contemporary, evidence-based pedagogy and innovative, child-centred programs
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated to excellence in Early Childhood Education, with a growth mindset and openness to evolving with the service
- Ability and motivation to build and sustain strong professional relationships and meaningful connections with children, families, colleagues, and the broader community.
Essential Criteria:
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Solid understanding of contemporary child-safe practices
- Available for full-time work, five days per week, across all operational hours of the service
- ACECQA approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, a recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree, or working towards
- Significant proven leadership experience in an Early Childhood setting, ideally as an Educational Leader and/or Assistant Centre Manager, though other leadership roles may also be considered
- Current relevant certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis as well as Child Protection training (CHCPRT025 - Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk) completed within the last 12 months, or a willingness to obtain/renew as required.
