We’re looking for two talented planners to join a growing Biodiversity Planning team:

• Principal Planner – Biodiversity
• Senior Planner – Biodiversity

If you have experience in environmental or strategic planning and a passion for protecting and enhancing biodiversity, this is your chance to work on projects that make a real difference.

About the Roles These contract roles will see you contribute to important biodiversity and environmental planning projects that deliver sustainable outcomes for the region.

• As a Principal Planner, you’ll lead complex projects, provide high-level technical expertise, and influence key strategies and policies.
• As a Senior Planner, you’ll take ownership of moderate-to-complex projects and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver practical planning solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver biodiversity and environmental planning projects with measurable outcomes.
• Provide specialist technical advice in line with relevant planning frameworks and legislation.
• Support or lead the development and integration of strategies and policies.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in community consultations and forums.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Bring
✔ Strong knowledge of biodiversity, environmental, or strategic planning (preferably in QLD).
✔ Experience in project delivery – moderate for the Senior role, complex for the Principal role.
✔ Excellent communication and engagement skills.
✔ Ability to problem-solve and manage competing priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to meet compliance requirements, including police checks and reference checks.
