Carpenters, Fencers & Electricians Wanted – Townsville Projects (DIDO)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters / Fencers to join our landscaping crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing a variety of fence types and a strong work ethic. You’ll work on projects involving new fence installations, repairs, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and mark fence layout lines accurately on site
• Dig post holes and set posts using concrete or other methods
• Install various types of fencing (wood, vinyl, chain link, metal, etc.)
• Repair or replace damaged fencing
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Read and interpret site plans or customer instructions
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:

• Previous fencing or construction experience required
• Ability to lift 25kgs and perform physically demanding work
• Proficiency with fencing tools and equipment
• Reliable transportation to job sites or central yard
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Punctual, reliable, and professional attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with both residential and commercial fencing projects
• Familiarity with local zoning and property line regulations
• Basic knowledge of landscaping and outdoor construction is a plus
• OSHA or safety training certifications

• $60 p/h + penalties for qualified carpenters
• Between $40–$60 p/h + penalties for experienced carpenters/fencers

Other Opportunities:
Qualified Electricians and Trade Assistants with civil experience are also needed for a 2-year project at the Townsville Airport starting mid-September.
