Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and assistance to clients in line with their individual support plans, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while promoting independence wherever possible.

Support clients with mobility, including the safe use of hoists and other equipment.

Assist with mealtime support, including PEG feeding (training can be provided).

Monitor client wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns to the care team.

Provide community access support, including transport to appointments, activities, and social outings.

Maintain accurate records and follow established policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, families, and other support workers.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in disability or aged care support (essential).

Confidence in assisting with personal care activities.

Experience or willingness to learn PEG feeding and use of mobility equipment.

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable car (essential).

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
