United CRANES & RIGGING is seeking a hands-on Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Kilburn, SA. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be integral in day-to-day accounting, payroll, cash-flow monitoring, and management reporting.

What You’ll Do

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

Prepare, process and report weekly payroll

Monitor daily cash flow and follow up on debtors

Maintain general ledger integrity, including key-account reconciliations

Develop and deliver daily/weekly financial dashboards and efficiency reports

Establish and maintain accurate job costing

Assist with month-end close activities and Board reporting

Prepare and lodge statutory obligations (payroll tax, BAS, FBT, IAS, Workcover)

Maintain fixed-asset registers and support statutory accounting and tax reporting

Perform ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as required

What You Bring

Tertiary qualification in accounting or business

Membership to CPA or CA highly regarded

5+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role

Proven end-to-end payroll expertise

Experience in construction or family-owned SME environment highly regarded

Proficiency in MYOB and advanced Excel skills

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize under deadlines

Effective communication, a can-do attitude, and high energy
