About the role

As the Bar Team Leader at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, you will be responsible for leading and supervising bar associates to ensure exceptional customer service and the smooth operation of the hotel's bar facilities. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service, managing associate performance, and contributing to the overall success of the outlet., This full-time role is based in our picturesque Yarralumla, ACT location.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the hotel bar, including scheduling staff, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance

Train, develop and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service

Manage inventory and stock levels, assist in ordering and conducting regular stock takes

Monitor and analyse bar sales and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement

Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and serve as a role model for the bar team

Collaborating in menu development

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a busy bar or hospitality environment

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to deliver exceptional experiences

Thorough knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and legal compliance

Strong cocktail and wine knowledge

Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
