Roles and responsibilities

· Operate vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment to safely expose underground utilities

· Perform potholing/daylighting to identify and verify the location of services (pipes, cables, conduits, etc.)

· Assist service locating teams with on-site utility detection and mapping

· Read and interpret utility plans, drawings, and site maps

· Conduct pre-start checks and maintain equipment in safe, working order

· Ensure safe operation of all machinery in compliance with safety procedures and industry regulations

· Remove excavated material and debris from worksites, maintaining clean and orderly work areas

· Communicate with site supervisors, project managers, and survey/locating teams to coordinate tasks

· Complete required job documentation, including site reports and safety forms

· Participate in ongoing training and development for utility locating and excavation best practices

You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply.

Skills and Qualifications:

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Experience:

· 1-year minimum experience as a Vacuum Technician or in a related field.

· Western Australia

Salary Offered

· $77,000 - 85,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
