Accountant | Brighton | Proposed contract for 6 months

My client are a values-based organisation looking to hire an Accountant for a project-based role. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will play a key part in delivering a high-impact finance project to help decision making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and complete a specific finance project, working closely with the Director of Finance.

Create and analyse datasets from financial systems to support strategic decision-making.

Deliver progress reports and insights to stakeholders across the business.

Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Team and assist with other tasks as directed.

Qualifications & Experience

CA or CPA qualified – Audit experience will be highly regarded.

Proven experience in project-based accounting or financial data analysis.

Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

An understanding of payroll and exposure to payroll systems would be a bonus.

Candidates who are able to work full-time in Brighton would be preferred; the client are able to offer some flexibility in terms of start and finish times, but would prefer someone working full-time on site.
