This position is situated at Australian Catholic University (ACU), where over 2,500 staff members support more than 34,000 students across 8 campuses.

UQU runs a variety of food, beverage, retail and entertainment outlets across university campuses & offers a range of student support services, including advocacy, legal advice and sponsorship of over 190 clubs and societies for UQ students.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Front & Back of House Attendant to join our team at Banyo Café & Bar.

This is a casual role with approximately 15 – 20 hours per week. Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering friendly, efficient service and high-quality food and beverages to the ACU community.

What you’ll be doing:

Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service.

Serving food and beverages quickly, courteously, and professionally.

Clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy dining area.

Supporting the kitchen team with food prep (sandwiches, salads, hot meals).

Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in line with food safety standards.

You’re personable, reliable, and passionate about hospitality. You take pride in your customer service and are eager to learn and develop your skills.

In addition, you will possess the following:

At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Experience with POS Systems (e.g. SwiftPOS), EFTPOS, and cash handling.

A team-player attitude and willingness to support both front and back of house.

Barista experience (highly regarded, but not essential).
