They are seeking an experienced and driven senior finance professional to join a dynamic team of highly qualified professionals to deliver one of South East Queensland’s most significant public infrastructure projects. About the Organisation

Our client is private organisation responsible for the financing, delivery, operation, and maintenance of a major Queensland project. The project is a key part of the city’s public transport network and is jointly funded by three levels of government and private investors.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal leadership role in the financial governance and financial performance of one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic infrastructure projects.

You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the financial framework, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and commercial insight across all aspects of finance.

This role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a lean, high-impact environment and takes full ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead statutory reporting, audits, and financial statements

Deliver accurate and timely monthly management reports

Oversee tax compliance and governance in collaboration with external advisors

Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making

Supervise payroll and maintain strong internal controls

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies

Drive process improvements across systems and reporting

About You

You’re a technically strong, detail-oriented finance professional with a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering results that make a lasting impact.

What You Bring

CA/CPA qualification

Senior finance experience, ideally in infrastructure or construction

Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills

High attention to detail and effective time management

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Proficiency in Excel; BI tools experience is a plus
