Reception/Business Support Officer AOD/SEWB
Full-time, 38 hours a week
This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
About the Role
This dual role provides culturally safe, professional, and efficient administrative and reception support to the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Unit. The role ensures a welcoming and respectful front-of-house experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and visitors, while supporting the day-to-day business operations of the team.
The position works collaboratively to enhance access to culturally appropriate health and wellbeing services, promoting trust, confidentiality, and respect in all interactions.
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services, Health Administration or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
Strong knowledge of reception and administrative procedures, including appointment scheduling, client intake, and record keeping.
Understanding of the social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly in the context of AOD support.
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a wide range of people, including Aboriginal clients, service providers, and colleagues.
Organisational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities in a busy office environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with respect and professionalism.

Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
