The Candidate

Being a professionally qualified enthusiastic accountant, you will already have years of business services / tax advisory experience in reputable Brisbane accounting firms and are ready to step up to partnership. If your progression pathway is not clear and you feel that you have the ability not only to do the work and help supervise a small team but bring in clients this is the ideal opportunity to step up to ownership in the short to medium term. If you are a Director or Partner in a firm who has an existing portfolio of client fees to merge into this firm that is also an option for the Partners.

The Role

Working alongside the existing partners, you will assist in managing a pro-active, stable, professional team and provide your clients with all of their compliance and advisory requirements. As a Director you will deal directly with your own portfolio of predominately family run businesses and should have the ability to recognise value-add opportunities and attract new work to the firm. Two of the senior partners needs to collectively push at least $1 million in client fees to a very capable Director because of the amount of new client work coming in the door. Build this client portfolio and equity ownership awaits in 18 months time. This is a very good opportunity in my opinion.

The Firm

Our client is a highly regarded Mid -Tier city firm. They service an impressive array of corporate and privately held clients across a broad range of industry sectors. The business services division is booming with new client work coming in the door so a partner needs to push client fees to another new Director. There is an opportunity for this Director to push through into ownership if desired or just move across and manage this client portfolio. The firm has a healthy bonus incentive scheme which works well for non-equity Directors so they can earn well in excess of what other accounting firm Directors are earning.
