The opportunity

Thump Architectural Fittings' is seeking experienced Sheet-Metal Workers, Fabricators and Site Installers to join our team based in Acacia Ridge, Queensland. As a full-time employee, you will play a vital role in the fabrication and onsite installation of high-quality architectural fittings and metalwork facade solutions on a diverse range of commercial and residential projects.

We specialise in crafting complex and visually striking structures—from sculptural installations and facade elements like screens and balustrades to architectural staircases and complex building components. Every project is a unique challenge, and the results can be incredibly rewarding.

Key responsibilities

Proficiently read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Accurately measure, cut, bend, weld, fabricate and install architectural fittings and fixtures

Involves stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel and brass welding and fabrication both on site and in the workshop. We have mig, tig, and laser welding machines.

Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards

Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to deliver projects on time and within budget

Maintain a clean, positive and organised worksite

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Sheet-Metal Worker, Fabricator or Site Installer, ideally within the construction or metal fabrication industries

Staff that like to both learn new skills and teach others

Demonstrated proficiency in reading technical drawings and operating relevant tools and equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
