Rapid Geo is currently looking for an Environmental Consultant (any Earth Sciences related degree) with experience within the Contaminated Land or/and Hygiene-Hazmat industry.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Team Leader and/or Director, you will work as part of a small close-nit team.
Here you will be planning and undertaking office work (work from home) / fieldwork, project management, completing environmental investigations, and full interpretive reporting of environmental projects.
You will have autonomy as we will be looking to you to help the team with conducting field work activities (e.g., conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, air, soil vapor, and landfill gas), as well as office work (e.g., analyze data, contribute to technical report writing, client maintenance and supporting the junior and senior staff with department activities).

About You:
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in any Earth Science degree.
At least 2 to 6 years of demonstrated experience in environmental investigation, (contaminated land assessment / hygiene-asbestos related work) and remediation within the consulting industry (preferably in Sydney).
A successful track record in project management and undertaking environmental investigations for small to medium scale projects.
Experience in producing fee proposals for various project types and sizes.
Knowledge of current guidelines, technical standards, legislation and codes of practice relevant to Contaminated Land Industry in NSW / Australia.
Logging, collecting, studying and analyzing soil and water samples.
Experience in fieldwork related to contaminated sites.
Ability to maintain strong relationships with existing clients as well as create leads to help build professional relationships with new clients.
Passion for technical excellence, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Project management skills, including resource and budget management, with certification in project management being desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong work ethic and the ability to work cohesively within a team driven environment.
High commitment to safety & detailed orientated.
General induction card (White Card).
A current NSW driver’s license class C (manual). Demits points required.
RIW card.
Full Australian working rights.
