As an Associate Environmental Consultant / Team Lead in Contaminated Land, you’ll lead a 10-person team delivering some of NSW’s biggest infrastructure and development projects. Management is optional - you can focus purely on technical leadership, or step into team lead oversight with full support from Principals and the executive team.

This is delivery without the BD grind: you’ll manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, and provide technical review, all while being backed by a business with a stellar project pipeline and Tier 1 client base.

The Role

Lead delivery of large-scale contaminated land projects, from investigation to remediation

Guide a multi-disciplinary team with backgrounds from boutique to top-tier consulting

Provide technical review, sign-off, and client liaison on high-profile jobs

Collaborate with Principals and executives to align resources and strategy

Who You’ll Work With:

You’ll join a high-performing, low-ego team where delivery quality trumps utilisation targets. With the option to be Sydney or Newcastle based, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, have access to graduate and junior support, and enjoy a flexible hybrid model.

Experience:

8+ years in contaminated land consulting

Strong technical reporting and review skills (PSI, DSI, RAP, validation)

Team Lead? Leadership or mentoring experience

Confident communicator with clients and internal teams
