Job Title: CNC Machinist – 5-Axis
Location: On-site | Adelaide, SA (with excellent access to public transport and parking)
Salary: Up to $90,000 + Superannuation (depending on experience) + Shift Loading
Work Set-up: Permanent Full-Time | On-site workshop
Day Shift (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) OR Afternoon Shift (12:00 pm – 8:00 pm) – shift loading applies

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist – 5-Axis to set up, program, and operate advanced CNC machining centres. This role involves producing precision components to tight tolerances, working with complex geometries, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Load and verify CNC programs (G-code/CAM).
• Perform first-off and in-process inspections to ensure conformance.
• Review CAM-generated toolpaths and optimise cycle times.
• Conduct dimensional checks with precision measuring tools (micrometres, CMMs, gauges).
• Troubleshoot machine issues, tool wear, and alarms.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to improve manufacturability.
• Mentor junior machinists or apprentices when required.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in Engineering – Mechanical (CNC Machining/Toolmaking).
• 3–5 years’ CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years on 5-axis machines.
• Proficiency with Fanuc, Heidenheim, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
• Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, Hyper Mill, or NX).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and material behaviour.
• Background in aerospace, defence, motorsport, or high-precision manufacturing (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety.

We are seeking a hands-on Sheet Metal Fabricator to join the production team. In this role, you’ll be fabricating and assembling sheet metal enclosures and components to support cutting-edge projects in high-tech industries. You’ll work with a range of fabrication tools and collaborate with a skilled team in a fast-paced, practical workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate sheet metal components using bending, folding, riveting, and drilling techniques
• Assemble enclosures and cabinets, ensuring correct alignment of hinges, fasteners, and fittings
• Operate hand and power tools to consistently high standards of workmanship
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings and assembly instructions
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet quality and delivery targets
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment

Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly
• Competence in using fabrication tools (e.g. drill press, riveters, folding machines)
• Ability to read and follow assembly diagrams and instructions
• Strong practical skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a production or workshop setting
• Must be an Australian Citizen

Desirable (but not mandatory):

• Experience in cabinet making or assembling metal enclosures
• Background in defence, automotive, or industrial manufacturing
• Trade certification in sheet metal fabrication
