Aus Ships Group is on the lookout for a motivated apprentice boat builder (Qualification in Marine Certificate IV in Engineering) to join our expanding team of skilled aluminium boat builders, fabricators, boilermakers, cabinet makers and naval architects.

Monday - Friday working week, with the potential for overtime and penalty rates.

Requirements:
A current valid drivers’ license – Manual prefered
Must own or have regular access to vehicle
Basic fabrication / Welding experience (Tafe etc).
Interest in marine or fabrication industries
Ability to work accurately and efficiently
Demonstrates a commitment to safety
Physically fit to work in a face paced environment
Applicants MUST be Australian Residents
Duties & Responsibilities:
Display motivation to learn the trade skills involved in the production of our current and upcoming aluminium new builds and refit projects to a high standard
Perform tasks as directed by senior team members and management
Maintain good housekeeping
Ensure WH&S processes are always followed
Display excellent communication skills

Day shifts - starting at 6am
Monday to Friday - 45 hour standard working week
Overtime - including Saturday work and penalty rates frequently available

All Tafe related costs covered by employer
6 month probation period in a trades assistant role, leading into commencing apprenticeship - possibility to commence sooner to the right candidate
