About the role

Northern Territory Traffic Control is seeking a full-time/part-time Level 1 & 2 Traffic Controller to join our team in Darwin, NT 0800. As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic at various job sites, playing a crucial role in protecting workers and road users. This is an essential role within our organisation, contributing directly to the success of our projects and the safety of the community.

What you'll be doing

Directing and controlling the flow of traffic at construction sites, road works, and other locations where traffic management is required

Setting up, maintaining, and dismantling traffic control devices such as barriers, signs, and lights

Monitoring and adjusting traffic flow to accommodate changes in site conditions or traffic volumes

Communicating effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other site personnel to ensure everyone's safety

Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies

Providing detailed reports on traffic management activities and any incidents or issues that arise

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or similar role in the Trades & Services industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively direct and interact with a variety of stakeholders

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Knowledge of relevant traffic management regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them

A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain any required traffic control certifications
