What will you be doing?

• You will be the primary consultant on a portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on litigation cases.
• Your core duties will include conducting meticulous onsite diagnostic inspections and forensic investigations to identify building defects.
• You will prepare detailed Expert Reports to be used in legal proceedings.
• Serve as an expert witness in court when builders dispute claims.
• You will also manage contract administration for remedial work and liaise directly with clients and legal teams to provide professional advice.

What do you need?

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Remedial Building or Engineering Consultant.
• Proven experience as an expert witness in litigation cases.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and Home Building regulations.
• Highly self-motivated and independent professional who takes full ownership of their work.
• A valid driver’s license and physical fitness to access all areas of a building are essential.
