STRUCTURAL SENIOR ENGINEER

STRUCTURE Consulting Engineers is a boutique structural consultancy based in Sydney’s Inner West. We collaborate with some of the city’s most respected architects to deliver thoughtful, efficient structural solutions—from bespoke additions to high-end residences, remedial projects, commercial works, and public art.

We prioritise quality over volume, and our engineers are known for their sound judgment, attention to detail, and love of good design.

We’re seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 8+ years of local experience to join our close-knit team. If you’re looking to do meaningful work, take ownership of projects, and grow into a leadership role without getting lost in a large corporate structure—this might be the opportunity for you. Candidates with an existing client base will be viewed favourably.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform engineering analysis using software tools including SLABS, SpaceGass, Stand7, Structural Toolkit

· Provide engineering solutions in accordance with Australian Standards

· Prioritise and deliver work in line with project schedules and budgets

· Oversee junior engineers and provide technical guidance

· Achieve project milestones while working within a team environment

· Attend site inspections/meetings and liaising with clients

· Prepare high quality structural documentation and reports

Knowledge and Skills:

· 8+ years post-graduate experience with Bachelor of Engineering

· Experience in Australian structural engineering practices

· CPEng chartered status

· Strong experience and knowledge in residential engineering

· Familiarity with residential construction practices and council requirements

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Personable, self-motivated, technically astute and seeking a challenge

· Strong leadership qualities, ability to work within a team in a small company environment
