What you'll do

  • Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high quality technical expertise, support and administration whilst adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processes.
  • Provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels.
  • Assist management in the decision-making process and continuous improvement by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit.
  • Provide expertise to progress the installation and configuration of hardware, firmware and software as per departmental frameworks.
  • Manage ICT assets by ensuring relevant information is recorded accurately.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change and configuration management
  • Level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation.
  • Well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
  • Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical domain specialists, application specialists and end users.
  • Demonstrated skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
