About the Company:
We wanted to make you aware of a newly created, permanent position for Behaviour Support Practitioner working for a hugely successful, leading WA Not For Profit organisation based in Perth. The Position:
We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners of all experience and suitability levels. Whether you are just starting your career and have been endorsed at Suitable Level, or if you have suitability levels at Core, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you!
Successful candidates will be providing supports to NDIS participants living in the North Perth Region near Joondalup, or South Perth Region near Baldivis or East Perth Region near Armadale.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
What we're looking for:
- NDIS Endorsed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner - minimum of Suitable Level
- Current drivers' licence and access to own transport
- 6-12 month minimum experience working as a BSP
- Great attitude with excellent communication skills
