About Our Client

Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin.

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the non ferrous supervisor and team leader, you will conduct general laboring tasks, safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and purchase metals.

This is a diverse and rewarding role for someone who takes pride in above the line thinking — owning their responsibilities, stepping up, and working safely with purpose.

Responsibilities will include:

Operating forklifts, Loading and unloading trucks

Belt picking identifying and sorting materials

Traffic control within the yard (as required)

Container loading for transport and export

General yard duties and housekeeping

Ensure customers receive a high level of service

Grading and sorting materials

Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures

What You Will Need

Forklift (LF) license (Rotating tine experience highly desired)

Ability to work independently

A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills

Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail

A strong work ethic and a safety-first approach

Someone who leads with accountability and initiative

Flexibility to jump into a range of tasks each day

Experience in a metal recycling or heavy industrial environment (preferred)

Skid steer and front-end loader tickets/experience desired but not essential
