Your position will include but is not limited to the following

Assists in formulating budgetary and accounting policies

Prepares financial statements for board of directors, management shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies

Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, undertaking audits and advises on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, and taxation.

· Examines operating costs and income and expenditure

· Provides assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements

· Provides financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations

· Prepares tax returns

· Introduces and maintains accounting systems, and advises on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems

· Maintains internal control systems

· May appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects

To ensure that you succeed in this position you will have/be:

Degree qualified (or nearing completion) in Commerce/Accounting.

A Chartered Accountant or Desire to start Chartered Accounting course as soon as possible

Demonstrate clear understanding and understanding of Australian Tax Laws

Have accounting experience in Australia

Clear and concise written expression

Confident use of accounting software

A strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Well organised with excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task between clients and meet deadlines
